John A. (Jay) Stefani is a trial lawyer and managing partner of the Chicago-based law firm Levinson and Stefani. He concentrates on helping individuals and families affected by trucking collisions, car crashes, and wrongful death. He has represented people in these situations his entire legal career. Jay was honored as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Fewer than 2.5 percent of Illinois lawyers under the age of 40 are selected. A DePaul graduate, Jay continues to be a part of the university through Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK), acting as a mentor within the DePaul University and College of Law communities, and teaching in the law school’s Preparing to Practice (P2P) program.

Matt de la Peña is a law enthusiast and the director of communications at Levinson and Stefani. Prior to joining the firm, he led digital media and marketing efforts at Carol Fox and Associates and publicity for the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. Previously, he was a section editor at Time Out Chicago and a staff writer at Time Out Chicago Kids. His writing has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Reader, Dance International, SeeChicagoDance.com and the online sports journal ChicagoSide Sports. Matt is a graduate of the University of Iowa and DePaul University.
